British English (en-GB) Software Localisation

Overview

English is the most widely spoken language in the world today. There are two main forms of English spoken, from which most local dialects derive: British and American. British English and it's derivations are spoken in the UK, Ireland, Europe and 54 countries of the commonwealth.

This work is in support of the localisation of computer software so that the user interface is in English rather than American.

British English Dictionaries

The objective of this work is to develop a top quality English dictionary for use with Open Source applications like OpenOffice.org and Mozilla.

English software GUIs

This work is in support of British English user interfaces and help for popular Open Source software like OpenOffice.org and Mozilla. Many other applications also have British English user interfaces and help. There are many teams working in this area.
